San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Foundation Names New Executive Director

The San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Foundation recently named Robin Calder as its new Executive Director. Mr. Calder formerly served on the Foundation Board for many years, and held the position of Board President before his term expired in 2012.

In addition to his years of service on the SGMH Foundation Board, serving on and off since 1985, Mr. Calder also led the Foundation’s Endowment Fund Development effort. He also helped to get the Birthing Center built debt-free.

He most recently held the position of Vice President, Private Banker, specializing in wealth planning, trust services, and consulting for First Foundation Bank in Palm Desert, before he was hired by San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital for the position of the Foundation Executive Director. Mr. Calder received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at the University of Southern California, and his law degree from the University of West Los Angeles.

Mr. Calder is married to Bonnie, a local Banning High School graduate, and they have two daughters and two grandchildren. They have lived in Banning for the past 30 years, and he has served as past President of the Banning Chamber of Commerce, Stagecoach Days Chairman, Regional Redevelopment Agency Board Member, United Way Regional Fundraising Chairman for Banning/ Beaumont, Wastewater Treatment Plant Board Member, Palm Desert Rotary Foundation President, and Child Center Board Director.

The San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Foundation looks forward to Mr. Calder’s expertise as he leads the Foundation in its mission to provide funding for necessary equipment for San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital!
