San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Celebrates Hospital Week

Throughout the week of May 12-16, 2014, San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital celebrated National Hospital Week with a variety of treats and activities for San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Associates.

From Monday’s breakfast served by Hospital Directors, to an all-staff barbeque on Friday, SGMH management led the effort to recognize Hospital Associates for a job well done.

In addition to delicious treats, SGMH Associates also received nice duffle bags and a drinking glass with the Hospital’s logo.

“Hospital Week is a time to celebrate the contributions of the many disciplines and the hundreds of staff members who work side by side to collectively make our organization successful,” said Tracie Hudson, Director of Nursing Resources. “While we acknowledge the hard work and commitment of our staff year round at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital, we enjoy going above and beyond during this dedicated week, to thank them for all they do.

IMG_0106“Being a community hospital, we have a close knit staff that feels a personal obligation and desire to provide the highest quality of care for our community members,” Tracie explained. “This week not only acknowledges those that contribute to our success, but also brings awareness to the growth and innovation we are offering our community.”

Tracie added that the activities are designed to capture all staff on their various shifts, so that everyone is included in the festivities.

“We wanted to take time to thank our Associates for their service and for playing a part in the healing we provide daily,” Mayda Cox, Director of Patient Financial Services, said. “We’re grateful for their skill, their strength, and the heart that our Associates bring to their jobs. Their work is a source of pride that extends to every corner of our community.”

Thank you to the SGMH Associates for giving us reason to celebrate this National Hospital Week!
